I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catered to the student's specific needs. – Academic lessons tend to be structured around specific sections of the syllabus, or particular topics that students require help with. – I employ a seminar style format. I flesh out ideas with the aid of quotations, other audio-visual resources, and analytical commentary which my students can use to develop essays, essay plans, revision tools, and exam revision packs. – I use Powerpoint to provide students with a variety of resources and visual stimuli. – I structure my lesson plans with a view to providing short points of rest or temporary closure, in which students are able to ask questions about the content. I am also happy for students to interrupt the flow of the lesson if a burning question arises. Lesson Structure – Academic lessons tend to be 45–60 minutes in length, but I can adapt my teaching schedule to provide students with additional support if needed. Academic Credentials – I am studying for a PhD in Music at the University of Cambridge. – I hold an MPhil in Music from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Historical Musicology and Musical Aesthetics. – I have a first-class music degree (74.4%) from the University of Manchester, where I won three Hargreaves Prizes for Academic Achievement. I studied violin with Julia Hanson (formerly of the RNCM) and Sophie Rosa (soloist, former teacher at the RNCM and Cheethams School of Music). – I hold a distinction (92%) for an ATCL Diploma in Violin Performance. Professional Credentials 1. Teaching – I have over a year's experience working as a freelance academic tutor with many different organisations and online education platforms. – I have worked as an Assistant Music Teacher, which involved teaching Music A-Level students. – I have worked as a Violin Teacher for 8 years (since I was 17). I have taught a variety of students, from beginners starting their instrumental training, to more advanced performers looking to improve their technical facility and performance skills. 2. Violinist, Recording Musician – I have an extensive portfolio of performing credits on documentary films. Recent highlights include the BAFTA-nominated score for the BBC docuseries on Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein 'House of Maxwell' (BBC2, 2022), and 'Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In' (Netflix) (Passion Pictures / Universal Pictures) (2021). – I have extensive experience as an orchestral musician and chamber music performer. I led the University of Cambridge Experimental Music Ensemble (CUEME) when I was studying for my masters degree at the University of Cambridge. I also led the University of Manchester Chamber Orchestra in the second year of my undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester, and premiered a good deal of new music with The Eskandari String Quartet. – I have performed at the West Road Concert Hall (University of Cambridge), the Lee Tseng Hall (Wolfson College Cambridge), Buxton International Festival, Manchester International Festival, and the Bridgewater Hall.

Trusted teacher: I teach beginning and advanced aspiring pianists of all ages (3+) with a focus on immersing students in the magical world of music and getting the best possible quality out of them by challenging to achieve more than assumed possible. Music is a soul-enriching experience and developing musical skills can be a great gift for a lifetime. With solo piano performance degrees from the Royal Academy of Music (London) and the Universität der Künste (Berlin) I am a highly qualified award-winning concert pianist with almost 20 years of teaching experience and a passion for education. My musical learning was also furthered by postgraduate musicological studies at Royal Holloway and serious interests in philosophy, religions, history, civilization, literature, poetry, law, languages as well as many other things. I loved my musical journey which included not only piano but also composition, the violin, recorder, flute, harpsichord and clavichord from childhood onwards. In the last two decades, teaching has been giving meaning to my life and I enjoy helping others to find fulfillment as well as joy in their learning. My teaching approach is comprehensive, builds up confidence and incorporates a multidisciplinary orientation thanks to which students get promptly enthused over their learning. There is a focus on enhancing musical understanding, developing or improving reading skills, building up technique, expanding repertoire in a healthy way and foundationally preventing or sorting out injuries as well as pain-related problems. Although my teaching style is primarily quality-oriented with regards to skills, I believe that happiness, confidence, results and a sane sense of achievement are important components to balance in holistic education and offer a non-judgemental, patient, kind, equality-oriented, multicultural environment in which learning can thrive. I encourage students to perform in concerts, festivals, exams and competitions. Many have won prizes in numerous competitions and passed exams with distinctions. Others have improved their technical skills as well as understanding of music, thus opening more doors and finding professional opportunities in the world of music.

Trusted teacher: For the past 7 years, I have tutored 80+ IB Biology and Chemistry students online up to date, and hundreds of students face-to-face. They have all achieved top grades (levels 6 and 7 only), and many of my tutees have gone on to study Medicine, Dentistry and Natural Sciences at top universities in the world (University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, UCL, Imperial College, King's College...). I, myself, have studied Master of Pharmacy at UCL (MPharm) and Graduate Medicine at University of Cambridge (MB BChir). For every exam period, I take up approximately 10 students to teach online. Every student that I tutored from last year's batch (May 2019 exam) received 7s (from Bio and Chem when I tutored them the subject). I teach students in groups of 2 or 3s at my house in London. Moreover, I also teach crash courses of IB Biology and IB Chemistry before the final exams in April time. If you're interested in normal tutoring lessons, I will help you understand any IB Chemistry or Biology concepts in an easy manner. I have taught the International Baccalaureate Chemistry and Biology programmes for 7 years, and am aware of the ins and outs of the curriculum. If you're interested in assistance and support in writing Internal Assessments or Extended Essay for Chemistry and/or Biology, I can help you achieve top marks - all the students I helped received 7s. With the vast amount of resources, past papers and experience that I have accumulated, I'm looking forward to helping you achieve a 7 (or at least a 6!). Anyone can do it with the right guidance.

Daniel
My first lesson with Daniel was just what I wanted and more. Daniel made me feel very comfortable and let me play some music I had been working on. Then Daniel looked at all aspects of my playing in a thorough manner and signposted plans for future lessons. I was really wanting my technique to be reviewed thoroughly and Daniel did exactly this, in a very supportive and encouraging manner. It was incredible to hear the change to my playing Daniel helped me make within the hour. Looking forward to the next lesson! Many thanks!

Raef
Superb experience with Raef. I asked for his help to prepare a math assessment test with an enormous lack of basis but he accepted the challenge. I found out a nice teacher who is not afraid of explaining and repeating if necessary. I did enjoy his method with the whiteboard, it feels like you are in the same place and can interact on the same exercise. Either in English or french he will certainly be able to help you. He is super kind and flexible, I definitively recommend his services.
