This class can help improve your child's English grade. Through the use of a baseline test I can initially identify gaps to help improve their foundational skills, which includes grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. Once, these are strengthened we will move onto writing for different genres. Enabling children to develop and adapt their writing style to match different genres. Across all levels we will use different texts to develop their reading and comprehension skills. As a primary school teacher with over a decade worth of experience I have planned and taught English from age 4-11.

I will assess the child and then cover the appropriate Math topics. I will use the national curriculum and the test papers which are used widely throughout schools to guide my teaching. This is so I can firstly fill any gaps in their knowledge and then I will extend that knowledge through a range of mediums. I like to use pictorial and abstract examples so all types of learners are catered for. I can also provide additional material for children to complete in their own time to consolidate the learning from my lesson.
