Being able to convey your writing in a clear and persuasive manner, particularly through the form of essay-writing, is an integral part of being a student, as is it in the job application process as well as some jobs themselves. This class demonstrates the ways working on writing skills ties to presentational skills in general, and how the two - both writing expressively and speaking personably - work in tandem. The focus is primarily on essay writing, though practising other forms of writing is also acknowledged and working on presentational skills, with the aim of recognising a personal writing style and building confidence in one's own voice.
