English language is a core subject in education, and for many people it is not distinguished from literature, however while these subjects may overlap, the crucial understanding of the English language which should be gained in school, is often extremely challenging. As a linguistics student, I have a passion for understanding the workings of language and feel that it is important to pass on what knowledge and experience I have gained in my own time in formal education, to give people the language and communication skills they need to excel.
