Hi, I’m Katy: a third-year student at the University of Nottingham. I have recently completed on online 120-hour TEFL course and would love to help you reach your language goals. I would love to help you grow to enjoy in your English language ability, and more importantly, I want to make my sessions interesting and engaging to ensure that you actually enjoy what you are learning and any worries you may have are alleviated. I am an approachable, friendly and patient tutor who wants to inspire and engage you in what you are learning to ensure you feel empowered to reach your potential! I also want to help you to strengthen and grow skills regarding learning and revising that you can carry with you and use in other subjects. Learning a language often has some challenging concepts that take a while to understand, but I hope to offer you tips and learning techniques that I used to make topics, that first seem daunting, clearer for you. Once you have a thorough understanding of the content, you are equipped to answer any question that you may face! I value an individualistic style of learning as I appreciate that everyone has different learning styles, abilities and things that they have concerns or need support with. In structuring my sessions, I aim to cover content that you need support with, and then build on this such as by sharing tips, ideas, or thoughts that help you become a confident English communicator. Underpinning this, I want to make my sessions enjoyable and engaging for you, and always appear supportive and understanding to your language and can develop skills that will be invaluable throughout your learning.
