English can be a struggle for many students without a passion for reading. It can be tricky to work out why similes and metaphors even need to exist, nevermind how they work. Over the course of half a decade I've refined my methods of tutoring to not only help students pass exams but to understand the benifits of what they're learning, not to superficially learn marking schemes and answer models. Every single student I have had has achieved their exam goals, as well as coming away with a deeper understanding of English as a field of study.
