I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years teaching experience, and most of my teaching has been in Year 6, specialising in getting children ready for the 11+ exams (English, Maths, Verbal & Non Verbal) and SATs papers (Reading, SPaG & Maths). I've taught children with SEN, EAL, behavioural problems and gifted children, across all primary stages. In the past 3 years, I have been tutoring online. I know how tricky and confusing it can be for children - and parents - in the lead up to these tests. In this class, I will be specifically focusing on bridging gaps in your child's learning for Maths and English, as well as prepping for the VR and NVR tests. I will build your child's knowledge and confidence in every test paper, find their specific tricky areas and help them improve with targeted questioning and challenges - easing the pressure of testing overall. I pride myself on being a motivator, someone who can inspire children to do their best, and plan tutoring lessons specifically to their needs and interests. I will support your child's learning and help them identify the areas they need to improve in - while making learning fun! I will help your child identify their areas for development and work on these through effective questioning, problem solving and follow up homework if you think it is needed.
