Along with writing, mathematical Algebra is a cornerstone of modern scientific and technological civilization. The principal distinguishing characteristic of algebra is the use of simple symbols to represent numerical quantities and mathematical operations. Algebra is just like a puzzle where we start with something like "x − 2 = 4" and we want to end up with something like "x = 6". For example, when it comes to solving simple algebra, there is the law of "keeping the balance", which means that what we do to one side of the "=" should also be done to the other side. These, and many other, fun ways of doing algebraic math are what we will be learning in this class. Thus you will be well-prepared to do the other complex math afterwards. This class will largely use an efficient way of learning Math, which is to chiefly learn by tackling many common algebraic problems. Thank you.
