Growing up I always enjoyed creative writing. I loved to engage my imagination to create pictures in my mind and find words that would add meaning to the imagery. So much so, I authored a children's picture book called "Cedric and the Funky Monkeys" which has been published as an eBook on Amazon. I'm also a trained journalist. This experience gave me a solid grounding in how to ‘tell a story’ with a beginning, middle and end. My jobs in the print publishing industry include positions such as Deputy Editor and Sports Editor, which involved proofreading, the writing of articles and features, and editing. This was followed up by a long stint working for a large corporate company, with a number of roles specialising in digital brand communications. So, I have a tonne of experience creating social content, writing copy and also script writing. While I am a Cambridge CELTA qualified ESL teacher, and taught in a number of EFL institutions across London previously, it was helping my teenage son pass his GSCE 'AQA' English Language / Literature exams earlier this year that really reawakened my passion for teaching.
