Hello! I am Tobias, a bassoonist for more than 5 years, and in this course I will teach how to prepare reeds for the bassoon. From assembling the reed to scraping it, this activity presents great complexity and a huge range of possibilities in the way of preparing it, which is why it is ideal for each bassoonist to be able to make their own reeds and find their desired sound. . This course will allow the student to prepare a reed simultaneously with the teacher (his/her own work team is required), or he/she can opt for a much more theoretical approach, where the student observes the preparation of the reed and is complemented with explanations of the armed and scraping. If the student wishes to scrape his own cane simultaneously with the teacher, he must request two classes on two different days, because the cane needs to take shape for a couple of hours.
