History and geography (especially the first one) are subjects that students who take ESO usually get stuck in due to their dense and boring syllabus. My method of teaching lessons is to make it as enjoyable as possible so that knowledge is retained sooner and for longer. I also really like listening to students to know what and how to help them. Both subjects are super important to understand an international and national context, since, knowing it in advance, it can mean for the student to choose some higher studies or others. In a world as globalized as today's, I would say that it is very important to come out well strengthened and updated in these two subjects.
