As a highly motivated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher and tutor, with 3 years’ experience working in multicultural and inclusive classrooms (including EAL, SEN and SEMH) with the knowledge and experience to teach English including KS2 SATS. Whether it be arithmetic, reasoning and problem solving or mastery that you need help with, we can work together to ensure that your children achieve their full potential while developing a lifelong love of learning for English. As a passionate and creative teacher, I embracee cross-curricular methods to engage and excite students and I believe in promoting effective thinking and problem-solving skills, which I have witnessed positively impacting the development of students in my previous roles. By using a child-centred approach that places well-being and the individual needs of each student at the forefront of everything, it empowers children to unlock their potential. I believe in fostering an enquiry-based environment where children are encouraged to explore, question and discover, nurturing their natural curiosity and developing critical thinking skills. I firmly believe that the relationship between the teacher and pupil is fundamental in the learning process, so I aim to get to know my pupils, their interests, their learning styles and what motivates them to learn to plan fun, engaging lessons with clear learning outcomes. This enables me to work more effectively with my pupils to build self-confidence, and it encourages the children I work with to develop academically, socially and emotionally and contributes to them becoming confident and ambitious lifelong learners.

My name is María, and I teach ESL and Spanish up to K-12 and adult students. I have taught for over 6 years in public and private schools in Spain and Lithuania - as well as online. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Universidad de Valencia, currently pursuing a Master's in Advanced English Studies and multiple courses on teaching Spanish and English as a foreign language. I also prepare students to pass the international DELE. My approach to teaching is game-centered. I believe that above all, learning a language must be fun. I like to include interactive games, quizzes, crosswords, songs... By that way, learning a language becomes easier, fun and effective. What got me into teaching was the happiness and contentment of helping my different friends to learn, while I was a kid. By that time, I already found out that I could really enjoy explaining concepts to my friends and helping them with the different school subjects and after finishing my high school studies, I strongly decided to enroll in my Bachelor's degree and start to study Elementary Education. A random fact about me is that I speak Lithuanian language. I wanted to improve as a teacher as much as possible and that is how I decided to move to Lithuania and live there for 3 years, learning Lithuanian language and teaching Spanish language and English language in a private school. We'll be a great fit if you/your students are interested in knowing more about Spanish culture, traditions, gastronomy, and language. Spain it's an amazing country.
