What could be more fun than discovering the wonderful world of music with your child? The violin lessons start from the age of 4, where you as a parent also learn some basic techniques. This way you are fully involved in the musical education of your son or daughter! But of course you can also start with us as an adult student. Violin lessons are suitable for all ages, from 4 to 99 years old! LEARN WHILE PLAYING :) The violin lessons are tailored to each student. For young children we will work playfully full of fantasy and creativity! HOW DO WE GET STARTED? We work according to the mother tongue method of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, where we believe that anyone can learn the language of music, just as you learn to speak. Together we create a musical environment in which music is present every day! In front of? That is not required! You don't need to be able to read notes. We start playing by ear. PRACTICAL: - Every week you get an individual lesson of at least 30 minutes. Fancy more? Then that is of course also possible :) - Additional optional group lessons will start from January. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! Violin and Viola lessons 🎻 with a professional teacher for all ages and levels (Amsterdam)
Fermin
I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.

My private violin lesson with Ester was absolutely perfect. I had a privilege to hear Ester play her violin and she is so good- it is crazy to think I was able to learn from her. She is also such a good teacher. Full of knowlege and patience- which is, in my opinion, a rare combination. I had no prior musical education and this was my first real music lesson. Ester managed to teach me basic note reading, correct violin holding and even playing my first tunes. Her explainations are very clear and easy to understand. And her approach is very friendly. She is also a very nice person and easy to talk to. I wish we lived in the same city so I could keep studying playing violin with Ester- that's how good she is. Lidia

We didn't complete many lectures yet, but Apprentus frequently asks me to review Diana; so here is my review. In my opinion, she is highly professional. She keeps a good pace with my learning speed; she sets the workload well that will keep me improving but not overloaded. Moreover, the content of her lectures are well balanced; we do not only practice on violin, but also cover theoretical stuff with pen and paper. She is also open to receive questions even out of course hours. I have never contacted her like this yet, but it is comforting to know that I can consult with her on something.
