Trusted teacher: Teacher and violinist, graduated from IMEP in Namur. Committed and passionate about pedagogy, I am delighted to be able to accompany you in learning your instrument! My classes are for all students of all ages and all levels. Having had several teachers, I have variable methods which adapt according to an observation made beforehand on the student. These courses will be approached both from a technical point of view and from a musical point of view and then from a point of view of concern for interpretation. I try to put people at ease above all and to be as human as possible. Mutual respect is obviously required. In my opinion, it is first and foremost the human side that will determine the quality of a course and the progress of a learner. Obviously, this is not enough for the quality of a course, here is what I rely on to maintain this aspect: The bulk of the work will be defined with the student, according to his needs but also according to his expectations. I do not impose only one technique or method. Indeed, thanks to my educational master's degree and my experience, I have at my disposal various tools that I will adjust according to the individual I have in front of me. Being a fresh graduate, I am trained in methods ranging from the oldest to the most recent. Very patient and involved, I am sure that we will find the best in order to move you forward as quickly and solidly as possible. I make it a point of honor to make our work efficient and of quality, but hidden under the signs of pleasure and fun above all.

Trusted teacher: As a violin teacher, my goal is to create a positive learning environment while cultivating the student’s love for music. I believe in developing music-reading as well as ear-training skills in my student’s music education. I work hard to tailor each lesson to meet the individual student’s musical goals, level and learning style. I have experience teaching students from age 3 to adult and from absolute beginner to college-level students. As a conservatory trained violinist, I teach a solid foundation in violin technique, theory and repertoire. I currently maintain a private violin studio in Yokohama and one in my home in Kawasaki. I can teach in both English and Japanese. Learning to play the violin is a lifelong process. Music can lead us to new opportunities, meet interesting people and travel to unique places. Everyone can learn to play the violin. It is never too late to start! I look forward to being a part of you or your child’s musical journey. Trusted teacher: My classes are held online around the world. I can teach in English, Spanish, Russian, Italian, French, German or Portuguese. I am a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory in Russia where I lived, studied music and arts and worked as a ballet teacher, languages and music teacher. I have professional equipment such as cameras in different positions and degrees since it is essential that the student has different optics of both the piano and my body posture. We start with music theory and practice at the same time choosing pieces of preference for the student. The real objective of the class goes beyond the music per se ... but rather a spiritual-intellectual integration which results in genius through music! Music is the hook to touch the soul. Russian piano education focuses on fewer, more challenging pieces. The music will be learnt from memory and much of the learning is done through teacher demonstration. - Solfeggio First of all, what is solfeggio? Also known as 'solfège', solfeggio (sometimes called sight-singing) is the ability to read and sing music at sight. You may have heard this phrase before: 'Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do'. This is a method used to help musicians sight-sing. The Russian piano teaching method is often complemented by the use of solfeggio, and it is commonplace that when Russian teachers do use it, they use the fixed do, meaning C is always do, regardless of the key. With the British piano teaching method, solfeggio is less commonly used, and when it is, moveable do (the tonic is do) is used. As you can probably decipher, this makes the Russian method of using solfeggio much more challenging. - Attitude Without wanting to cast a generalisation across Russia, their learning method has been known for strictness, discipline and controversy. It leaves many wondering: Is the Russian way of learning the piano more demanding? Frequently, Russian piano teachers I work with joke about the harshness of teachers in their youth. The method is trying to achieve excellence in piano playing, but encouragement and discipline are used to varying degrees. I mix my adventuress, feisty, serious, exotic, disciplined and wild personality and the outcome are my classes!

Solo Violin of the Bordeaux Opera offers Violin lessons (Bordeaux)
Tristan
My son and I were in Bordeaux for just two weeks, staying with a local family. Unfortunately, we weren't aware that practicing the violin would not be welcomed at home or his language school until the last minute. I must take responsibility for assuming that it wouldn't be an issue and for not clearly expressing my son's desire to practice daily. (BTW, he has been playing the violin for 8 years.) Thankfully, Tristan came to our rescue. Despite his busy schedule, he managed to fit in five lessons for my son during the two weeks, although the last one was canceled due to his illness, which cannot be helped. He even lent my son his mute, allowing him to practice at home. Tristan's flexibility and understanding were invaluable in this situation. Moreover, my son rarely trusts someone so easily, but he immediately felt comfortable with Tristan. He spoke highly of the lessons, where Tristan skillfully combined expression, techniques, and theory, making the learning experience enjoyable. As a result of this positive experience, my son is considering continuing his lessons with Tristan online from the US. This way, he can build on the progress he made during our stay in Bordeaux. We are truly grateful to Tristan for making our time in Bordeaux memorable and musically enriching!

Niki
I had a great first lesson using Ableton! Niki spent time helping me with my equipment set-up and also went through some of the settings with me. He explained things very clearly, answered my questions and showed me some of the basic things necessary to find my way as a beginner using Ableton. I now have a few things to try out and I'm excited to start experimenting and seeing what I can record. Thanks Niki!

Elena
The first encounter with Elena was simply amazing. Our child was hooked onto the way Elena had proceeded with the first lesson and is very excited to see her soon again for the the next lessons. The kick-off between the tutor and student was successful and we are looking forward to the upcoming lessons.
