The lessons are mainly given in Spanish, so you can learn and practice as much Spanish as possible during the lesson. Don't worry about making mistakes; By making mistakes and learning from them, you even become better. Repetition is an important part of my lessons. I often go back to check if you remember what was introduced in previous lessons. Before we start our lessons, I want to know your reasons for learning Spanish. If you already have some knowledge of Spanish, I will determine your exact level. Once I know your needs, interests, and level, I can select the right materials and design the right course for you. I find it better to work with a textbook to give structure to the lessons. I also use videos, slides, worksheets, and other teaching materials. If you like, I can also email you exercises and resources so you can continue learning independently. Our lessons can be online (as per Zoom), I can come to your home (and Haarlem, Velserbroek, Santport-Noord, Driehuis or Heemstede). Great communicator, accomodaing pace and very good grasp of the teaching approach. I love it! I have just finished 10 sessions with Javier and I am already renewing, my focus is on getting comfortable speaking in Spanish and using what I have learned. Javier is a wealth of knowledge and can engage the student in any subject ( culture, history, liteature..etc) I am very happy with the classes and highly recommend my instructor!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson with Alvaro. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the lesson and I found myself trying to speak more in Spanish than ever before. That is fantastic as I'm so hesitant with my limited knowledge. He gently guided me through my mistakes and I feel that I learned more in that 1 hour than I have in months and months of trying to learn. I'm looking forward to continuing with Alvaro

Oscar is an amazing instructor! His ability to teach how to play the guitar is incredible. He is patient and encouraging. He applies philosophy, wisdom and experience into his teaching practices. Before going to Oscar, I was not very confident on playing the guitar. Now, after only two lessons, I am playing better and have more confidence in my playing ability. I definitely would recommend him to anyone hands down!!
