Trusted teacher: Hello and welcome ! My name is Charlotte, I am a singing teacher and professional opera singer. I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris at the highest level with honours and I have a Masters in Opera Singing from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where I have won several prizes. I am the recipient of a prestigious scholarship from the Malvina and Denise Menda Foundation of the Fondation de France. I also have a BA in Art History from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute. I teach the principles of vocal technique that form the basis of all singing styles: finding an ideal posture and alignment of the body and the air column and eliminating unnecessary tension; optimizing breathing and support (singing with the whole body); beauty and homogeneity of the voice in all registers (homogeneity especially in lyrical singing); clear and precise articulation in all languages. Of course, these bases adapt differently depending on the styles and offer keys to freeing the voice, and not to restricting the singer! My teaching is holistic and I take into account the whole person with great sensitivity. The voice is at the center of the body and mind, and singing unifies the two. I deeply believe in the well-being that singing brings and its power to release. My life as an artist began as a classical dancer (I was a dancer in the young dancers program at the Royal Opera House, London) and this taught me a good awareness of my body and how to transmit it to others. Singing is mastered by listening to one's body. I also practice meditation and yoga at a high level and I transmit these techniques of connection to the body and breath, and the state of relaxation that they bring. In my teaching, accuracy, solfege and precision are very important. I was first a violinist and I was a member of one of the prestigious choirs of the University of Cambridge during my degree. So I have a good ear that developed further during these trainings. Singing is above all communication and my mission is to allow everyone to express their authentic and unique voice. I am passionate about theater and the art of communicating our sincere emotions and those of the characters we play. Vocal technique gives us the means, but it is the connection to oneself and to the meaning of the music and the text that allows us to express ourselves fully and sincerely. It is a work that fascinates me as much as that of vocal technique. All the more so, the connection to emotion broadens the palette of colors of the voice, without which we can only produce beautiful sound. My classes usually last an hour. Typically, I start my classes with breathing exercises and body observation. We continue with warm-ups and vocalizations to work on technique. Then we work on the repertoire of your choice. I can also advise you on the repertoire of all styles. Looking forward to reading from you and working together!

I started as a professional singer at the age of 17, I took my first lyric singing lesson at 19, since my beginnings, I have been lucky to be able to benefit from three types of teaching different, lyrical singing, the Richard Cross method for variety and jazz and finally the Musical. Today, I wish to share in a concrete way with you, through real moments of sharing, dynamic lessons, my experiences and the teachings that have been transmitted to me during my years of practice. Together, let's explore all the facets of your voice and open the field (song) of possibilities. I am Alexandra and I am waiting for you for an online course :) I propose an effective method in order to sing without being out of breath, without feeling bullied, I will help you find your "real" voice, by building solid foundations, learn to breathe, find support, position your voice well so that it becomes natural. Then, I introduce a technical base, to be able to successfully interpret your favorite songs, so that you gain confidence in yourself and in your instrument, I develop and I increase your technical capacities so that you can expand your voice, I lay the foundations of music theory, scales, arpeggios, vocal harmonies, vocal precision to broaden your knowledge and your musical vocabulary and so that you can gain skill in performing songs that you previously found difficult. The goal is to be able to give you the satisfaction of having your own musical style, of having complete confidence in your voice and of having perfect control over it in order to be completely autonomous in your practice. NB: Home lessons take place in St Maximin la Ste Baume, for Webcam lessons I use the Zoom software, it is essential to connect with a computer and a good quality headset.

Trusted teacher: I am an Australian musician currently living in beautiful Brno! I have been teaching, recording and performing music professionally since 2013 and have a degree in jazz vocals from the Victorian College of the Arts in Australia. I have also undertaken intensive private study in jazz guitar and double bass. I specialise in teaching: - Guitar, ukulele & double bass skills for singers & songwriters - Singing skills for guitarists, bassists, pianists and other instrumentalists - Singing & vocal coaching (absolute beginner to advanced) - Guitar & ukulele tuition (absolute beginner to advanced) - Double bass tuition (absolute beginner to intermediate, French bow & jazz pizzicato technique) - Music theory, songwriting, lyric writing, composition & creativity (absolute beginner to advanced jazz theory) - Home recording & music production - Lyric writing and pronunciation in English (for non native speakers) I teach all contemporary genres, and many of my students are singer-songwriters who play guitar, ukulele or bass while singing. I am a friendly and patient teacher, and love teaching beginners as well as advanced students. I tailor my lessons to your own goals, skill level and interests, and prefer to teach a combination of your own favourite songs plus song suggestions from me that I think will help you improve certain areas. I love teaching songwriting, and enjoy when students bring their own songs to work on in lessons. If you have never written your own song but secretly dream of trying I am the teacher for you :-) I find it easiest to teach in English, but can also communicate in German (A2) and Czech (A1).

Singing & Recording Lessons with a Professional Singer. (Brussels)
Juliett
I have wanted singing lessons for some time; I had them briefly in my youth and I sing and play guitar for a hobby. Juliett showed me some good tips already in the first lesson and left me some good warming up techniques that I shall practice every day before a our next lesson. Juliett is very friendly and before I knew it she had me singing high notes I did not know I was capable of reaching. The lesson was fun, I enjoyed every second and I’m looking forward to the next. She clearly has a beautiful voice herself and knows the correct techniques using classical methods to get the most out of a voice. We looked at what I wanted to sing, not what she wanted me to sing. Learning should be fun and I’m confident my singing voice will get better over time with these techniques that are used by professional singers worldwide. 100% this is a five star review; I would give a thousand stars, but the limit is five.
