Sarah has created a series of online courses that take you step by step through the foundations of playing the saxophone. The course is made up a series of 10 – 15 videos lasting between 2 – 4 minutes each. These videos will walk you through every step of the way, whether you are learning the saxophone for the first time or looking to progress your technique and learn to play the famous sax solo, Baker Street. It is recommended you complete Sarah’s foundation course even if you have been playing the saxophone for a while. Whilst studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama Sarah trained with John Harle, Simon Harem, Christian Foreshaw and Rob Buckland from the Apollo Saxophone Quartet. Sarah gets you playing like a pro right from your foundations in learning to play the saxophone. Why study with Sarah? Sarah has had a breadth of experience performing as a professional saxophonist from recitals at the Purcell Rooms, Queen Elizabeth Hall London, TV performances; including TFI Friday comeback where she arranged the music for the saxophone section, producing and performing in shows for the Underbelly Festival London, to tours with Yamaha and Classic FM. Between 2002 and 2006 he attended the Secondary School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana, where he successfully graduated from the class of Prof. Dejan Prešiček. He continued his studies with Prof. Matjaž Drevenšek at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where he graduated with a special commendation in 2010. In 2012 Oskar completed his Master's degree with Prof. Daniel Gauthier at the Hochschule of Music and Dance in Cologne, Germany.​ Oskar is the winner of numerous competitions: National competition for young musicians of the Republic of Slovenia (2004), International contest for young saxophonists in Nova Gorica, Slovenia (2003, 2007), European Competition for Young Saxophonists in Gap, France (2003,2005), and was the finalist of the ''Hülsta Woodwinds 2011'' competition in Münster, Germany. His repertoire includes both standard works for saxophone, as well as transcriptions of works from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at many festivals (Festival Ljubljana, International Festival of Contemporary Music Koper, Slowind Festival, Two Days & Two Nights of New Music Odesa, Lent Festival Maribor, Festival Echos, World Music Days) and numerous other venues in Slovenia and abroad, including Serbia, Germany, France, Latvia, Ukraine, Italy, and the USA. ​He is devoting a lot of his time and attention to cooperation with composers and expanding the repertoire for saxophone.
