Hello everyone. I am a native Japanese speaker, currently living in Tokyo. In my mid-30s, I joined an art college and completed my master's degree while working, and I am currently working in an office while working on my doctoral dissertation at a graduate school. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching dramas and movies. Sometimes I go hiking in the mountains nearby. In my lessons, I can teach using my work experience and the writing, discussion, and presentation skills I have learned through my academic activities. I can help you learn Japanese not only for casual conversation in daily life, but also for office situations, keigo (honorific speech), and other situations. And I myself have been learning English and Spanish for a long time. I had a tough time with conversation, and although I studied a lot, when I did have a conversation, the words didn't come out smoothly and I didn't really feel like I was making progress. From this experience, I realized that to speak fluently, it is important to first be able to construct sentences correctly and then practice so that they come out naturally in conversation. Therefore, in our lessons, we focus on correctly expressing what you want to say or convey in Japanese. In addition, the following lessons are also available ; ○Academic Japanese lessons For example, if you wish to study at a Japanese university or attend lectures in Japanese, you will need different levels of vocabulary, reading comprehension, and summarizing skills, in addition to your normal Japanese language skills. This is one of my strengths, so please contact me if you need help in this area. ○JPLT I can also provide lessons according to the JPLT content. For vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension, I use the "日本語総まとめ" series, or if you have a preferred textbook, please let me know. Please let me know your level, your requests and learning objectives, and the topics you are interested in. I will customize the lessons to suit your needs. I will proceed with the lessons gently and carefully while keeping an eye on your pace of progress, so please feel free to contact me for more information. Thank you for reading to the end. I would be very happy to help you improve your Japanese language skills.

Trusted teacher: Have you ever had a nightmare where the only way to save the planet from total destruction was to speedily write a report? No? Well, I'm sorry to have put such a thought in your head. But in case this sort of situation arises in real life, you might want to enroll in this potentially planet-saving class. In our fourteen weeks together, you will write short stories and mini-reports. Learning how to take notes, make outlines, craft clear sentences, compose focused paragraphs, and edit assignments, you will surely be doing everything in your power to prevent a catastrophe from befalling our world. As you acquire new skills, you will first practice them together with the whole class. Only when you feel confident, will you start independently writing your weekly assignment. If you suddenly feel stuck or frustrated, we will work through the confusion together. After finishing the course, you might even want to form a superhero team called something like "The League of Extraordinary Writers," tasked with saving humanity. Warning: This class has homework. It’s not much because we start every assignment in class, but still... Homework. Therefore, it's probably best if we just thought of homework as superhero training. Also, the infamous excuse, “The dog ate my assignment,” will only be accepted once. Note for Parents: How to Be a Writer: For Beginners includes a separate sixty-minute parent session, advising how to better help your children with writing assignments. Parents are welcome to attend, but the session is not compulsory. The date will be decided once class begins. This class is based on the methods from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). You can read my IEW instructor profile on their website.
