I am a native Spanish speaker from Uruguay, I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in the US and studied communication arts for a year and a half in Thailand. While studying communication arts, I had several communication classes, I learned techniques on how to speak better using not only our words, but also our body to help us speak more naturally, calmly and without getting nervous if we blank out or forget. what we wanted to say. During my career in the United States, I constantly wrote essays for my classes, in addition to having to present projects in front of my teachers and classmates. At the same time, I was working at university and after graduating I worked for a year, mainly having long phone conversations with people from all over the country. In recent years I have gained invaluable experience living abroad communicating using my second language. Now, I help others looking to do the same. I help people from all over the world with their Spanish so they can achieve their goals. It could be studying abroad, living in a Spanish-speaking country, improving your communication in the professional field or continuing to practice so as not to lose your previously acquired level. I have taught American and UK students over the last seven years, whilst pursuing my studies in Spain and in the United Kingdom. I was recently awarded my PhD, through which I learnt methodological aspects of teaching different types of public from different backgrounds. My classes are dynamic and centred on the student's progress, carrying out different interactive activities, role-playing and exercises that will make the student increase his/her confidence with the use of Spanish, whilst learning grammar and vocabulary. I usually give the students the opportunity to send me writings that I correct at home, and I recommend listening activities that will help the student to improve his/her understanding of the language during lessons. My complete proficiency of the English language makes it easier for the student to ask specific questions or to understand how some expressions work in Spanish, having my English explanation at hand (in order to make them fully understand the most difficult aspect of Spanish). Sylvain has been a private tutor to my 4-5 year old daughter for the last couple of months and I am very pleased with his teaching approach. He makes sure that the basics are taught using interactive games which keeps my child engaged and she also has fun learning. He is very patient and also has a great way with children.
