Piano, composition, improvisation and music theory lessons

I give lessons or music theory support in Basel and its surroundings. All ages and all levels. I like to share my passion in a relaxed atmosphere! I am an oboe, a professional musician and graduated from the Lausanne University of Music in pedagogy.

For anyone who wants to learn the violin or perfect their skills. Extensive experience with private students and music schools in Austria. There is an option to give lessons at home, online or if I am with the student I charge extra. If necessary, I will provide the teaching materials. Lessons in German, English or Spanish.

Do you want to learn music? In my lessons, children, teenagers and adults discover the world of music in a motivated way - regardless of whether they are beginners or have previous knowledge. With my five years of experience as a music teacher at a primary school, I know how to make lessons exciting and goal-oriented.

I am a music pedagogy graduated teacher (master of performance and master of pedagogy in Paris and Basel). Love sharing my passion with others : have a 10 years experience in 2 music schools and high schools in Paris. Am also performing concerts as a pianist and organist. Focus are set on body and technical skills, music theory and knowledge necessary to play all kinds of score or improvise, interpretation and artistic view of the pieces. Patience, positivity, respect and open mind are keys for success. I’m also very attentive to the needs and wishes of every pupil and try to bring you where you want (open with repertoire etc). As a composer and arranger I can also teach you harmony, composition and improvisation in different styles including jazz, songs and pop.

I offer beginners' classes in piano and harpsichord for any age, and can additionally provide the basics in music theory. A passionate learner myself, I started harpsichord at age 5 and have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). My experience teaching started in New York where I taught school students piano and music theory. I am also a professional continuo player accompanying Baroque orchestras on the harpsichord, as well as a composer of experimental music. My experience in very different musical scenes gives me a unique approach to studying that allows me to adapt the content and structure of lessons according to where the student wants to develop their skills. This can include focus on exercises like scales and arpeggios; studying simple pieces from Classical, Baroque or even Pop repertoire; figured bass; body posture awareness; and trying more experimental things through free improvisation techniques! I've also found that accompanying practice with theory helps to deepen one's understanding and joy at learning this beautiful music. I really enjoy passing on my enthusiasm for music, whether the student has specific goals and needs or is simply curious to start with the basics. If you're curious don't hesitate to reach out :)

I a professional musician and have taught piano to children for three years at the Pico Music School in Lucerne. We will learn at the piano how to play and how to read and hear music. It is important to me that the children learn good practice skills and that they have fun in the lessons and at home.

If you want to start making your own music, I will be happy to introduce you the basic functions and tools of Ableton live. You will learn how to record, sample and edit your sounds. Together we will work on your first compositions and on how to make them sound better and better. I have a diploma of Advanced studies in Audio Design from Hochschule für Musik Basel, and I am an active musician and performer in fields of Electronic and contemporary music.

The purpose of this course is to give the student a wide perspective upon jazz music theory. What we will focus on: - Jazz Harmony and Analysis - Ear Training - Rhythm - Elements of Modern Composition and Arrangement The course has been designed for all of ages and levels!

In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different. Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me. I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

I offer piano and harpsichord lessons for all levels (from beginners to advanced) and all ages from 7 years old. Lessons are in english,italian or spanish with duration according to your age and level.I try to combine a necessary base of technique (so the way to stay on the piano, the position of the hands, but of course depends on the level of the students)with learning differents pieces of music following the music taste of the students.
