Learning how to play piano with me not just about a skill you are going to master with me. It is about passion, love and discovering your new talents from a completely different perspective. It is about discovering your inner star and then being able to reveal it to others - it is why I regularly organize concerts for students at the best concert locations in Switzerland. Your level of skills does not matter - I have tailored programs for beginners as well as for intermediate level. I also help young pianists to get ready for exams to music universities and getting scholarships.

My name is Ava and currently I‘m doing second year in Master in Music Pedagogy in Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Professor Konstantin Scherbakov. I have done my first Master - Master in Music Performance in ZHdK as well. Furthermore, I have done my Bachelor in Music (Piano) and a Bachelor in Languages and International Relations in Oporto - Portugal.

Would you like to be able to use music to communicate? Would you like to learn to play the piano or guitar and be able to add poems you have written? I am here to help you and give you the tools to compose your own songs, while learning about music theory and poetry. From the youngest members of the family to eldest who are interested in music and the power it has in communication.

The most important thing for me is to create a pleasant and motivating atmosphere in which the focus is on making music. I am convinced that the best way to learn the flute is to play the music you enjoy playing. The lessons are based on making music together, giving you the tools to practice at home in a fun and efficient way. The lessons can be in German, English or Spanish. We are happy to do a free interview to get to know each other and talk about your goals with the flute. You don't need any prior knowledge. I will do my best to adapt the lessons to your wishes and needs. About me: I am currently doing a master's degree in music performance with Sarah Rumer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. I have over 7 years experience as a flute teacher and have had students of all ages and levels. I love teaching flute and sharing my passion for the flute with anyone who wants to learn to play it. I completed my pedagogical studies at the Conservatorio Superior "Manuel de Falla" in Buenos Aires with distinction. I have 6 years of experience in several orchestras, such as the National Youth Orchestra of Argentina and I have also won prizes in various flute competitions, including first prize in the International Competition «La Flauta Latinoamericana».

In the last ten years, he was featured regularly as a soloist and with different ensembles in the main concert halls in Buenos Aires city, such as CCK, Usina del Arte and Centro Nacional de la Música. He has also performed in Paraguay, Switzerland and Italy. In 2009 he founded the Camerata Argentina de Guitarras (guitarist and Artistic Director 2009-2019). In 2014 he released his first solo album "Morro de Saudade”. He has made national and international premieres of Latin-American composers such as Leo Brouwer and Javier Farías, with an ensemble and as a soloist. I can teach in English, Spanish, and High German. More about my classes My guitar teaching model is based on books and the approach of guitarist and pedagogue Abel Carlevaro. In some way, it is about understanding and analyzing the nature of the movements we make to play the guitar or ukelele in the simplest way possible. Just as to build a building you need a good foundation, to build a system of skills that allows us to be musicians, we need to know and practice in a conscious way all the movements we do. These movements are what we do when we play just one open string or what we need to do to play the most difficult piece of the repertoire. After getting to know and listening to how my students play I propose a short and medium-term work plan. This plan is presented taking into account the objectives and wishes of each student. Exercises and pieces are included that will also allow to know the repertoire of the guitar. Therefore, each work plan includes specific and general contents.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

With your dedication and my guidance, I'm positive that we will get a good result!

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

VOCAL lessons are divided into 2 parts - 1) Warmup Exercise and 2) Singing Exercise. We do both parts in every lessons. Ideally we spend every 2-3 sessions for each song. For kids, a 30-min online lesson / 45-min face-to-face lesson would be long enough for their attention. For adults, it's good to start with a 50-min online lesson! Also, we do music appreciation occasionally during the session. Some other learning materials like music videos are applied based on song choices.

I am a classical pianist, holding two Master's degrees from the Royal Academy of Music - Postgraduate Certificate in Performance (UK, London, 2015), and Guildhall School of Music and Drama - Master of Performance, advanced instrumental studies: Piano (UK, London, 2019). During studies, I took part in masterclasses with world-renowned teachers and pianists, including Ian Fountain, Colin Stone, and Simon Trpceski. I did solo recitals in Russia, Switzerland, and the UK. I also won the internal piano competition Romantic Piano Prize, which was held at Guildhall School of Music.
