My name is Helen. I lived abroad for over 25 years: in Great Britain where I taught FLE, then in Belgium where I worked with European institutions on projects, and finally in Italy for 20 years where I was called upon to teach FLE at the University of Turin and where, at the same time, I directed cultural projects linked to French-speaking literature at a local institution, il Circolo dei Lettori. The FLE course, that is to say French as a Foreign Language, is certainly intended for those who wish to learn French in order to fit into a French-speaking context, but also for children/adolescents who do not have the grammatical bases to be good at school. A language, any language, cannot be acquired just "at random", it has a structure called grammar through which one must progress in order to learn.
