My name is Texenén, I am a flute/piccolo player living in Maastricht with more than 15 years of teaching experience. If you want to learn how to play this amazing instrument; if you already know but would love to take it out of the storage room and enjoy it again; if you need help to study the pieces you have to play in your wind band; or if you want to prepare exams, competitions or auditions I am here to help you to reach your goals. A fun class to lear all you wanted to know about flute playing and also flute maintenance. I have many years experience in teaching flute for all levels of playing. I van accommodate the class for each student's needs depending on the level and aspirations of each player.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

My flute lessons are available in a flexible time frame from 30 minutes to 1 hour, with a frequency of weekly or biweekly, depending on your preference. As a graduated flutist with a bachelor and master degree from the conservatory, where teaching was an important part of my education, I have experience with both group lessons and individual lessons. My method is focused on enthusiasm for music and flute playing, where I welcome every student, regardless of background, language or level. I enjoy teaching both harp and flute at my studio in Worthing and also offer lessons online. I studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London graduating with a first-class Master's degree and an LRAM music teaching qualification.
