If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. In this course we will look at music composition, learning the basics of orchestration and using digital software to compose music, such as Sibelius and Dorico. We will also cover a brief history of composition, look at the composers of the past and present and look at how they can influence us in composition today. Part of the course will give you an opportunity to write your own music and get feedback on it. If you’re interested in the technical side, I can teach you about Logic and how to move from the score to programming using virtual instruments within Logic.
