I'm Ed, an English musician studying a Master's course in composition here in Vienna. I've been teaching piano and guitar for two years now, having played both for over 14 years! I completed my Bachelor's degree in music (2022) in Liverpool, UK, and received the highest grade: first class honours. I love music and have a great passion to pass on my knowledge and enthusiasm to as many people as I can! I have two years experience of teaching both children and adults in different styles: coaching some students to passing classical piano exams, while teaching others simply how to play their favourite pop songs as well as working on general technique. I have even been helping some students write their own songs, since this is actually my main strength as a musician and one of the things I find most fulfilling about music. Above all, the most important thing for me is encouraging and nurturing the love of music in my students. I want to pass on knowledge and help develop skills that my students can carry with them for their entire lives and regularly use as a source of enjoyment and fulfilment. Classes are held in person in Vienna's 3rd district, and can be of course prolonged into the school year. A vast well catered repertoire and personalized arrangements will be provided for each student individually. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
