I have vast teaching experience, having spent many years teaching English as a second language and business studies in various countries. Instead of having a teacher-centred approach whereby the student just listens to what the teacher says; it is more child-centred with greater focus on supporting children’s assimilation of classroom practices, participation and contribution to their individual development (Daniels and Hedegaard, 2011). Achieving these centres on the acquisition, processing, construction and exposition of knowledge and the rationalisation of ideas (Munro, 2012, Brighton et al., 2005; VanTassel-Baska and Stambaugh, 2005). In my classes I change and adapt the methods of instruction to meet the needs of the learner. By altering instructional components such as content, process and product will enable the effective and successful incorporation of differentiated instruction based on ability level, learning preference and interest of students. Assessing pupils' work is essential in encouraging them to progress and build upon their knowledge. I employ a variety of assessment methods to encourage this progress. During the classes, I am constantly monitoring pupil progression. I believe students must be monitored to ensure a positive, independent pupil-centered environment for learning.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
