About Me
Hey there!I’m Colleen Wisor…mama, educator, yoga + mindfulness instructor, and Founder of Wise Star Wellness. My life’s work is dedicated to empowering children and families with the tools necessary to live the happiest and healthiest life possible.
I’ve spent my entire professional career working with children and families: as a program coordinator for a children’s non-profit, an early childhood classroom teacher, and, for the better part of the last decade, as a yoga and mindfulness instructor. I hold yoga certifications from Three Sisters Yoga and Karma Kids yoga in New York City and earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia University.
I believe the foundation of a healthy life is emotional wellness, skills that are often missing in our increasingly fast-paced, technology-rich and oft high-pressure society. Over the course of my career, I’ve supported hundreds of children, teaching them tools for self-regulation, stress relief, and self esteem.
Out of my 10 years of teaching was born a desire to create a safe, inviting space to cultivate deeper connections with families in order to foster social-emotional health and wellness and enhance communication skills in children and their parents. To take time out of their day to do less, not more—and reap all of the incredible benefits. I'm excited to provide families with the opportunity to join me online and in-home for classes to allow them to unplug and reconnect with each other in order to live their happiest, healthiest lives possible.

The Role of Yoga in Cardiac Health
The position of yoga in cardiac health is increasingly diagnosed and appreciated for its holistic approach to improving cardiovascular well-being. right here are a few key components of how yoga can advantage cardiac health:
Blood stress management: Yoga and relaxation techniques, together with deep respiratory and meditation, can assist in reducing strain levels. lowering pressure can, in flip, reduce blood pressure, which is a sizable chance aspect for coronary heart disease.
cholesterol and Lipid Profile improvement: Studies have shown that everyday yoga practice can lead to a decrease in serum cholesterol levels, triglycerides, and unfastened fatty acids. those upgrades in lipid profiles contribute to a healthier cardiovascular gadget.
Blood Glucose control: Yoga and conscious respiration sporting activities can also help modify blood glucose stages, which is essential for people with diabetes or those susceptible to developing diabetes, as out-of-control blood sugar can contribute to heart troubles.

stress discount: Chronic pressure is known to have detrimental outcomes on the heart. Yoga promotes rest and decreases pressure through techniques like mindfulness, meditation, and deep respiratory sporting events. this will make contribute to better cardiac health by lowering the impact of stress-associated hormones on the frame.
efficiency and well-being: As you mentioned, yoga can enhance one's overall performance and experience of well-being. Feeling physically and mentally nice can positively affect cardiac fitness by using promoting a fine outlook and inspiring healthier lifestyle choices.
As a part of a complete technique for cardiac health, a wholesome weight loss plan, rich in fruits, vegetables, complete grains, and lean proteins, can supplement the blessings of yoga and support cardiovascular wellness.

Fascia flows to free your body. Reset the body with Balance WorkoutWhy is pelvic mobility important?
🔆Pelvic mobility is essential to meet the simplest daily functional needs such as walking or climbing stairs. The pelvis is the center of gravity and the largest bone complex in the human body. It is an insertion point for strong muscles: they form the muscular chains that have the pelvis as an anchor point.
The shortening or overtraining of some of them, due to sports postures or gestures, can generate an imbalance in the tensegrity system of the pelvic girdle and many local and adjacent problems, from muscle decompensations, pain, health problems at a visceral level and many others. aspects that are not taken into account 🧐
✅You have to ensure that your pelvis is in a neutral position, aligned at all times and in any activity you do so that your body does not adopt wrong postures by default and avoid having problems with its mobility and consequently other derived dysfunctions, such as hernias, lower back pain. , pelvic floor problems, etc.
📌The program aims to strengthen, stretch and put into tension the muscle chains and the analytical work of the abductor, adductor, extensor and pelvitrochanter complex. All of these myofascial elements determine the pelvic position and, in doing so, create or limit the freedom of the pelvis, having repercussions on the lower and upper limbs.
🤗 Of course we are not going to leave aside the rest of the body❗️❗️😅
The training approach will be individualized, after a general and analytical body evaluation.
Enough of so many aches and pains, release the superficial and deep fascia and revitalize your energy center. 🥰

Group Intention Meditation – “The Power of Eight” Lynne MC Taggart MethodGroup Intention Meditation – “The Power of Eight”
Group intention meditation, based on the Lynne MC Taggart Method's "The Power of Eight," is a practice in which a group of people join together with a common purpose to send positive energy and intention to a specific person, situation, or goal. Through concentration, visualization, and group connection, a powerful energy field is generated that enhances the manifestation of positive changes.
Numerous studies have shown that collective intention has a real impact on both those who receive it and those who send it, generating well-being, healing, and transformation on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
In these sessions, we gather in a space of harmony and connection to focus our energy on a shared purpose. It's a deeply transformative experience that strengthens our sense of community, raises our vibration, and allows us to play an active role in creating a more conscious and balanced world.

Sri
Satyananda System of Yoga: "health, happiness, and harmony in life through yoga" (Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati)My personal goal is to share the experience of "health, happiness, and harmony in life through yoga" (Swami Niranjanananda's guideline) with others. I firmly believe that yoga is a powerful tool to promote physical and mental well-being, find inner peace, and lead a balanced life. This philosophy flows into my teaching and inspires my students to begin their own journey towards greater well-being and harmony.
After practicing yoga intensively since 2008, both in Satyananda ashrams in Greece and India, as well as daily as a personal sadhana, and initiated in Karma Sannyasa by Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati, my heart has been even more dedicated to the Satyananda system of yoga. My yogic name (Sannyasin Sri Vidya) reflects my deep connection to this tradition. My commitment to yoga is also evident in my continuous education. Since 2008, I have been participating in numerous yoga and meditation workshops and seminars in Europe and India. In 2024, I successfully completed my Yoga Alliance training in Vienna, further refining my skills as a yoga teacher. For the past year, I have been teaching yoga privately to adults, gaining valuable experience in imparting yoga practices.
My passion for yoga, coupled with my musical background, allows me to create unique and inspiring yoga classes. My academic career includes a Master's degree in Musicology with a specialization in Music Education, as well as various Bachelor's degrees in Classical Piano, Opera Singing, Music Composition, and Theory. As a flutist and passionate kirtan singer (kirtan.serenityinaction.com), I bring a special musical touch to the yoga practice. A special advantage is my ability to teach yoga primarily in English and Greek. These language skills allow me to reach a wide range of students and offer international classes.
As a yoga teacher, I pass on my knowledge as follows:
-Creating an inviting atmosphere
-Structure of the lesson: Starting with mantras chanting, asanas, pranayamas, relaxation (Satyananda System of Yoga)
-Clear guidance and demonstration when necessary
-Addressing students individually
-Conveying yoga philosophy
-Motivating and inspiring
-Being authentic and leading by example
-Open to questions and feedback

One to one Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga. Yin-Yoga. All levels. This class is dedicated to all those who wish to calm the nervous system and work on rooting themselves in the present moment. Connecting with the body and its language. A combination of yoga and somatic techniques that help us understand how our body works and its relationship with the mind.
For all levels, because we're not looking for virtuosity in complicated positions, but to refine our perception, communication and understanding of our ‘total self’.
We'll use asanas and pranayama, as well as micromovements and meditation. Everyone is welcome!
A perfect class if you're going through a period of stress or a lot of mental activity or worry, if you lead a very sedentary life, or simply if you want to relax and move your body.
The purpose of those classes is education, not on the superficial level of mimicking form, but on a profoundly deep level of understanding the full use of the body as an integral whole to maximize full function of each individual's unique movement potential.
The aim is toward maximum physicality in function and overall health as well as a state of relaxation and a stimulation of the body's energy centres and meridians that is revitalising and
healing.
The benefits of yoga also include gaining flexibility and working on breathing skills concentration, balance, endurance, muscular and vital strength, as well as strengthening the nervous system and immune system.
The content and dynamics of the practices will be adapted to your experience, needs, age, and specific circumstances, seeking to gain the greatest possible benefit.
I have experience working with and teaching beginners and people with little experience of physical work as well as children in the field of dance, acting movement, and yoga.

Yoga, meditation, and breathwork teacher invites you to find the balance and connect your body, mind and soulEach class is designed to foster deep connections within oneself. I prefer reading the individual's/collective energy. This allows me to design a nurturing and empowering practice, ensuring that it resonates with everyone present. I emphasise the importance of honouring your own body and its limits, encouraging each participant to listen to their own intuition and let their moves be the moves of truth. My guidance is rooted in traditional practices, but I adapt the sequences to make them accessible and beneficial for all levels. Moreover, as yoga is not only asanas, I love to include meditation and pranayamas in the classes while I incorporate live singing (in-person classes). I use my voice to enhance the atmosphere and create a deeper connection to the practice and one's body, as the frequency of singing is healing.
