This class is all about the fun and love in music. I am very student oriented so whatever your goal is or what specific pieces you want to learn, we will work on that. A relaxing atmosphere is really important to me. A student should never fear to play wrong or feel bad because he/she didn't practice. We learn from mistakes and of course practicing would be really great, but in the end it is your goal to learn to play the piano, I'm just there to help you. I offer saxophone / clarinet / recorder lessons as well as piano lessons for all age groups, levels and styles (classical, jazz, improvisation, etc.) in Salzburg City, Salzburg Land and Freilassing. I am a trained clarinetist, saxophonist and pianist as well as a music teacher. After studying at the Mozarteum University and Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi, I founded my own chamber music and jazz project. Both projects are participants of various famous music festivals. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

My Amharic Language lessons are designed to be practical, engaging, and tailored to suit both beginners and intermediate learners. For beginners, I focus on building a solid foundation with simple vocabulary, basic grammar, and real-life conversation skills. For intermediate students, I help improve fluency, expand vocabulary, and refine grammar with more complex topics and discussions. I use a mix of interactive materials, visual aids, and hands-on exercises to make learning fun and effective. Whether you’re just starting or looking to advance, my lessons will make you feel confident and motivated to keep progressing!

Communicative Methodology The lessons are based on everyday situations that are relevant to the student's sociocultural reality. The main focus is to learn the language in the context in which it is actually used, presenting situations such as at a restaurant, at home, or talking on the phone. In addition, it emphasizes communication between students in these situations, allowing them to exchange experiences. For example, to work on past tense verbs, we can talk about what you did over the weekend. This way, the student applies the new language to their everyday situations. Reading and writing related to these everyday situations are also worked on, encouraging reflection and helping to solidify the content. The method works for both beginner and advanced students. The lessons are naturally developed around practical topics, always focused on real-life subjects (based on the student’s reality). Since we will be learning English or Portuguese through practical contexts, we won't waste time teaching grammar traditionally, which makes the lessons more dynamic and interactive.

My Background I started playing organ in church when I was 10 years old. I quickly enrolled at my nearest Conservatory where I have been for 12 years, studying Organ and classical composition for 8 years. I continued with jazz piano studies, and graduated in 2021. I have been performing since 2016, in folk, pop and jazz ensembles around Italy and now I am continuing my music studies in Valencia, at the Berklee College of Music.
