I am a certified English teacher who has recently moved to Rotterdam from the United States. English is my native language. Whether you are a true beginner, intermediate, or an advanced English speaker who is simply looking for someone to practice with, I am here to help. I have a true understanding of how intimidating learning a new language can be and tailor each lesson to suit your individual needs. We will assess what you already know and work together to set goals that will push you out of your comfort zone but not be overwhelming. Since moving to Rotterdam I have helped many students work towards their English language learning goals. I have experience teaching ESL (English as a second language) for business and regularly help ESL students prepare for interviews. A little about the lessons: I like to use a variety of materials to build my lessons but a typical lesson will focus on a relevant topic to suit your interests and needs, and give you various opportunities to practice listening, comprehension, discussion, formation of complex thoughts and ideas, reading, and building vocabulary. I like to utilize technology when it can be used to enrich the lesson and assign homework as a continuation of our session. *My rate includes our time together as well as additional time spent outside of class preparing your individualized lessons/materials and building a program that works best for your English language learning needs. Hey there, I'm Niall. I am 23 years old from Ireland, and I am an incoming masters student at EUR, where I will be studying Quantitative Finance. I worked as a private maths tutor for 4 years during my Bachelors degree in Dublin. I studied Actuarial & Financial Studies in Dublin which was extremely maths heavy and now I am continuing my studies in Quantitative Finance. In school, I achieved 97% in the Irish Leaving Cert, which is a similar level to IB AA HL. I have worked for the past year at a Boarding School in Switzerland, assisting in Maths & English lessons, and taking care of the students in the boarding house. I have also worked as a camp counsellor for three summers, teaching field sports, water sports and leading activities for teenagers.
