Hi, I'm María, I'm 23 years old and I have a degree in the specialty of cello. I studied the career at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, and I am currently studying a Master of Interpretation at the University of Codarts, Rotterdam. I have received classes from important national and international cellists and have played with national and international orchestras. Teaching has always been a point of interest for me. At the same time that I was studying my degree, I was teaching cellists of all ages, which is why I have experience in the educational field. I am a professional musician who finished his masters studies in 2020 in Codarts, Rotterdam. Lessons are intended for all levels, I can adapt my teaching to the student needs. My career is basically classical, but I am open to different styles so if you are interested on (for example) pop, jazz or rock we can just focus on what do you want to learn in order to make Theory become more practical.

It is beautiful to be able to play a musical instrument. However, when looking to learn the cello, one needs regular accompaniment. Either if you want to engage in a hobby or if you want to learn and develop your skills in a more serious way, I will adapt your lessons to your ambitions and desires towards your cello lessons. The duration of our lessons can be flexible according to the necessity or possibility of the student. Other artistic situations can be offered depending on what you show through the lessons, as the participation in cello ensembles, preparation for competitions (for students who will take the cello further in their studies), preparation for other exams that the student may want to apply to out-side our lessons, as others which may be proposed by the student him-self. There is also the opportunity to improve and practice your English, Portuguese, Spanish or Czech since these are the languages in which I can teach, according to the students preference. Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres.
