With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CD’s/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I’ve come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts. I’ve been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I’m 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department. I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won’t waste your time! Also I’m a fun and very empathic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! I speak 5 languages 100% fluently: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French and English, so we can do the classes in one of these languages, and I’m working on my Dutch, I have an intermediate level and I think I could do lessons in it, but probably I would have to switch to English if the topic is a little difficult, I hope that changes in a few weeks/months, I’m studying every day! Ik kan me helemaal aanpassen aan wat de student wil en zoekt, maar omdat ik veel ervaring heb, heb ik de lessen ook goed gepland, en ik weet welke liedjes en oefeningen beter werken, afhankelijk van het aspect waarmee we willen werken ( tempo, akkoorden, toonladders, feeling, improvisatie...). Als ik iemand zie spelen, kan ik zien in welke aspecten de persoon sterk is, en in welke aspecten de persoon meer problemen heeft, zodat je geen tijd verspilt! Ik ben ook een leuk en zeer empathisch persoon, dus we zullen plezier hebben, en dat is het allerbelangrijkste!! Ik denk dat ik kan lessen geven in het Nederlands, maar waarschijnlijk zou ik moeten overstappen naar Engels als het onderwerp een beetje moeilijk is, ik hoop dat dat over een paar weken/maanden verandert, ik studeer elke dag! De lessen kunnen plaatsvinden bij mij thuis (metrostation Maashaven) waar ik een mooie setup heb, online of bij jou thuis.

Bandoneon is a very well know instrument for playing tango, in fact it's part of the genre's DNA. However, not many people know that the instrument was constructed in Germany and some people even say it was supposed to be used as an portable organ. This means that the Bandoneon has a technique that is independent of any genre. This technique is not found by coping other instruments such as the organ or keyboard but through the development of the nature of the instrument. This is mainly the importance of the air and how it is affected by the pulling and the movement we make when we play. Of course Tango will be an important axis of the lessons as it very important for the development of the instrument and for specific techniques but Tango won't be the starting point as it's not the best pedagogical tool for learning the instrument. But no worries, we'll get there ;) Have you ever wondered how a Gregorian chant, Bach, Mozart & Chopin might sound in the bandoneon? The results might surprise as you would get a very different sound from the one you are originally used to. Also, we can try and use the bandoneon for different and new genres, who knows what we might discover from the instrument along the way?

Hello everyone! This is Eren. I am 25 years old. I am a Turkish drummer/producer, graduated from the Utrecht Conservatorium Jazz&Pop Drums department. I am actively playing in 3 bands, and have good experience for my age. I really would like to share my knowledge and experience with you! I will use the stuff that my teachers gave me in the conservatory, and my own techniques in the lessons. Any level is welcome! I can also help with music theory, ear training, solfege and music production in Ableton(basics of ableton, MIDI, audio recordings, mixing&mastering). We will play, learn, talk, have fun, even sometimes get bored but at the end I will make you a good drummer!

That's why for the first part of every lesson will be focused on the Sound and the saxophone technique. You need to learn how to build your own saxophone tone and how to sing into the instrument. This process can take some weeks for really beginners but it'll show you how the musical practice can positive effect your all body and emotions, as well as your creativity. In order to make your music journey more fun and personal my lessons will be based on your music interests and purpose (learn how to read music, improvisation ecc...) During this journey together we'll build your own repertoire of songs that most represent you, which we'll dedicate the second part of the lesson. FOR NERDY ;) For those who wants to go deeper into the world of saxophone I'll organize some special 'listening section' focus on the the role of Saxophone in the music history and in the different kind of music. From the classical repertoire (Gershwin, Bizet, Milhaud, Rota, Bernstein, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman...) passing through the more popular: Blues, Jazz (Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderly, Sonny Rollins...), latin , rock&roll, Pop until nowadays. We'll listen to the milestones of the great composers and performers that have made the history of this fantastic instrument. I'm sure It'll be a journey of discovery the beauty of the music to which this instrument has made, and a big inspiration for you to grow the passion toward this amazing form of art.

Short Musical Biography Born and raised in Iran, Khorshid grew up in an artistic family. When she was seven years old she started her musical journey playing setar with her father. After entering the Conservatory of Tehran she chose Tar. Tanbour was another dimension in her exploration. For her playing, all these instruments happened so naturally. She was just sixteen when she started her professional activities playing with Shams ensemble. During those years she played all around Iran and other countries such as France, Italy, Austria, Morocco, Sweden, Netherlands. She has been teaching from the age of seventeen. After she got her Bachelor from the Conservatory of Tehran, her curiosity led her to Netherlands and got her Master degree at the World Music Department of Codarts Conservatory of Rotterdam Codarts. During her study at Codarts she learned playing Baglama in Turkish department. When I teach, apart from teaching the technique of the instrument is so important to me, I also help them to understand and have more awareness about music and be able to perform all their musical ideas in a successful way. I analyze the student in order to choose which is the best approach in order to motivate him or her. Tar To become a professional Tar player is important for me to have a good technique. I teach all different schools of Tar players by giving repertories and etudes. I also teach about Dastgahi music and in advance level how to improvise based on Dastgahi and Modal music. Setar As this instrument is so delicate is important for me to be aware about every notes you play and in order to reach this point you learn from me proper technique. I teach you Dastgahi music by playing Radif Dastgahi. In advance level we also play together more to learn improvisation. Tanbour As a performer of Tanbour, Sonority is so important to touch the ear. I teach you unique techniques of tanbour with my own method. By playing different compositions and etudes you learn Makams of Tanbour. In the advance level I mostly concentrate on improvisation. Baglama I teach you the basic techniques of this instrument and we play together different repertories of regions in Turkey consist of Anatolian music and Ottoman Music.

My name is David, I'm a trumpet player, composer, and conductor based in Rotterdam. I started to study music when I was 8 years old and I get the Professional Music degree in the specialty of classical trumpet at the Conservatory of Noia (Galicia, Spain) and I've been playing Jazz since I was a teenager. In my country, I have been a student with teachers such as Paco Charlín or Abe Rábade, whom I have considered my mentors for years, but I have also studied and attended numerous masterclasses and workshops with internationally renowned teachers such as Michael Phillip Mossman, Antonio Hart, Darren Barret, Michel Camilo, Logan Richardson, Orrin Evans ...etc. With 18 years working and studying the trumpet, I have been fortunate to play with numerous artists and projects such as Phillip Dizack, Nelson Cascais, Kyle Poole, Dyna Stephens, Walter White, L.A.R. Legido, Jesús Santandreu, Pontejazz Big Band, CSM Big Band and also with different groups and orchestras of dance and Latin music. As a teacher, I have experience teaching in different schools, teaching trumpet lessons, music theory, and choir and ensemble conduction, working with both young children and adults and the elderly, aged between 4 and 85. Hello! I am Celia, a professional saxophonist and singer. I am offering individual (online or face-to-face) lessons in Saxophone, Singing, Improvisation, or Music Theory. I have seven years of experience as a teacher. In my lessons, I adapt completely to the needs of the student, regardless of their age or level. Depending on what you want to improve or what you are willing to learn, I will design the sessions specifically for you. I have a Bachelor's degree in Classical Saxophone and a Master's of Music degree in New Audiences and Innovative Practice (with both vocals and saxophone). As a cello teacher, I always try to pass on my passion for music to my students. Of course, they will learn how to read sheet music and all the other technical aspects of playing the cello. However, most importantly, they will also be able to choose what pieces they want to play. Each part of the lesson is also about making music together, for example by playing in a duet. This way, students can develop their playing skills with others.
