I am a second-year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the proposed courses. The student will find a framework where he can ask these questions, discuss methodologies and improve. Putting my knowledge at the service of other people is a plus that I like to share. And because i have a background in Engeneering studies i can also help in Mathematics and physics. I have always been fascinated by science and now I hold a doctorate in solid-state physics from the University of Geneva. Science subjects can help you pass exams. I offer both reinforcement and in-depth courses, adapted to the students' pace and the teachers' requirements. With 10 years of experience in individual monitoring and 5 years in front of diverse classes, I do not offer so much academic support as lively and interactive courses, whose key words are kindness and encouragement. Familiar with the Swiss and French programs as well as the IB, I know the frequent and less frequent sticking points that students encounter, as well as the classic exercises that must be redone absolutely and those that go further. My method: Understanding and assimilating the course are at the heart of everything, and that is why I particularly insist on this point which often requires filling in gaps from previous years. Concrete illustrations and targeted training then facilitate these famous understanding triggers which allow the student to finally release their full potential. We always proceed in stages: course - classic exercises - more advanced exercises, with obviously homework from one time to the next to anchor the knowledge and develop the autonomy necessary to solve complex problems. During a mathematics or scientific branch course, the student has specific questions or subjects to address (ranging from compulsory school to the end of the gymnasium in maturity/reinforced math) in order to fill in the gaps in the subject . If he wants to get ahead of the program or needs help with homework/exercises, this is also possible.

I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.

I love teaching and have always enthusiastically helped my classmates. I have been giving private lessons since 2016 (around 25 students, including 4 for a General Physics course in propaedeutics). I am also an assistant for two courses at EPFL (3rd year Bachelor and Master levels), and I co-created and taught the EPFL Advanced Analysis course (for mathematicians and physicists) during the week welcoming new students. I then strive to transmit my knowledge and my passion for the subject to my students, at a pace adapted to their needs.
