With two decades of experience performing the piano, as well as nine years of teaching, it is my pleasure to pass on my extensive knowledge and deep passion for the piano and music. I offer saxophone lessons to beginner saxophonists and to already experienced saxophonists. I also give lessons in improvisation, theory, harmony, music theory and composition. In short, everything you need to play and improvise in the style of jazz. During improvisation classes in my music studio, I use accompaniment instead of a jazz rhythm section (piano, bass, and drums). This effectively prepares students for playing in a real band later on. In addition to saxophone lessons, I can give piano lessons as a second instrument for saxophonists, which is essential in order to understand and hear harmony. I give lessons at home in Paris in the 16th arrondissement between the Iéna (line 9) and Boissière (line 6) metro stations. For students who are unable to attend classes in person, I can provide video lessons via WhatsApp. My job as a teacher is declared. Students can obtain invoices. I accept students with irregular schedules and availability.

Graduated from the Conservatoire de Région de Paris and the American School of Modern Music, having studied at the same time at the Conservatoire International de Paris and the Pôle Supérieur de Paris. Holder of a State Diploma as a music teacher in jazz guitar. Formerly professor of jazz guitar at the Conservatoire du 17e in Paris and at the Conservatoire Claude Debussy in Saint-Germain en Laye. I give lessons in modern guitar (jazz, blues, funk, etc.), harmony and everything that requires a perennial musical practice: reading, rhythm, composition, general culture, history, etc. I also prepare students for entrance examinations (departmental, regional and national conservatories (CNSM)). I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

I have provided lessons to students in the ABRSM theory exams as well as Trinity in any level. I am also able to assist secondary school students with composition and some music technology requirements, as well as university students needing help with composition modules.

At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music.
