My in-home piano lessons follow a solid method forged by extensive teaching experience. I strive to tailor your journey to your dreams: mastering the classics from Haydn to Liszt, simply accompanying your voice, jazz/blues improvisation, etc. By default, my method is structured in two distinct parts addressed together or separately: - CLASSICAL PIANO: the teaching method adopted here corresponds to that provided at the conservatory. Music scores have a fundamental importance. This requires learning music theory using several supports: one dedicated to reading notes in isolation, an application also dedicated to this work and a practical manual. Technique is also important for the good practice of classical music pieces, which is why you follow a whole progression of exercises designed to make you work on articulation, velocity, precision of touch. If the classical repertoire is demanding and rich, we can also play more popular music: films, video games, variety, ... PIANO JAZZ/BLUES/POP/VARIETY We work to make you a proactive player in your musical journey. This generally comes after a classical piano course. However, not everyone necessarily has the time or the desire to achieve excellence, especially for adult beginners or even more advanced players. You choose the music covered and develop your ear and your knowledge of the keyboard (simple concepts of harmony at the same time). The repertoire corresponds to current music. We can even move towards improvisation and improvement in this area for students already introduced to jazz or bues in particular. Intimidating and then quickly liberating, this approach allows you to develop a creative and personal musical practice. You are then able to improvise, compose, or even play with other musicians. This approach is based around 4 main axes.

Hello, I’m Wayne, a professional singer, songwriter and tutor from London that now resides in Paris. My classes have a dual role, they are aimed at those who want to learn how to sing and create their own unique songs to suit their voice. I will show you that singing is not necessarily about having a big voice, it’s about understanding your instrument and expressing it in the most effective “soulful”way. We will go through technique which is very important but also we will learn to let go and feel the music that is inside. Music is transformative and I aim to create a comfortable and safe space for letting go, as that’s when the magic happens. I am a professional vocalist, performer, and voice instructor with a background in classical music and musical theatre. I have 10+ years of classical training and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City with a B.A in Musical Theatre Performance. I offer singing lessons to people of varying ages and levels of expertise, from total beginners to more advanced vocalists. My lessons focus on helping you to develop or polish your technique (regardless of your preferred genre of music.) We will utilize exercises engineered to develop a strong, healthy phonation with minimal extraneous tension as well as strengthen breath support and control of the breathing mechanism.

I am currently pursuing my concert career between Paris and London. Between us the choice to become a clarinetist is admit the original! But why this instrument rather than another? I was hesitant myself when I started. I found the sax.. “cooler”. But I finally fell in love with the clarinet. This instrument offers an incredible variety of repertoire! First of all Classical Music: The clarinet developed at the same time as Mozart. The composer was immediately seduced by this new instrument with its soft, pearly sound; he fell in love with her and wrote a magnificent concerto for her (one of the most beautiful ;)). Subsequently, composers such as Weber, Schumann and Brahms will deploy all their knowledge and sensitivity to make the clarinet sing. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar).
