GCSE maths/ science tuition and exam mentorship to guarantee A* (8-9 score) across the board
Hello.
I am a University of Oxford medicine graduate. I will mentor you to perform as well as possible across the board, with a focus on maths and science.
Exam results are more important than ever. The truth is that most teachers will teach in a typical way which is not conducive to actually performing as well as possible in exams across the board. The methods are too time consuming, boring and inefficient.
I will teach students to perform as well as possible in GCSE exams as quickly and efficiently as possible, regardless of your ability. I will distil the content down into the most concise, simple format and combine this with exam techniques and revision strategies which ACTUALLY WORK to help you achieve similar results in any subject.
The skills I will teach come from my own experience of achieving 14A*s at GCSE and 5A*s at A-level, even in subjects I was not good at. The skills I teach can be applied to any subject and will help you to learn faster and more efficiently.
Anyone can achieve this regardless of current academic performance. I will mentor you continuously and meet once weekly to discuss new strategies, address concerns and ensure you perform as well as possible with minimum stress.

PhD student in Mathematics at Imperial College London; University and A-level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics.Currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at Imperial College, I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Pisa, achieving a near-perfect GPA of 29.85/30 and maintaining a flawless 6/6 during my exchange program at ETH Zurich. This fall, I will again be the official Teaching Assistant for the 'Stochastic Calculus for Finance' module at Imperial College Business School, as I was last year.
I have private tutoring experience in both Pisa and Zurich, demonstrating my versatility and ability to adapt to different educational environments.
Clémence
Courses and academic support from primary to secondary schoolA final year engineering student, currently on exchange at Imperial College London, I offer private lessons in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Thanks to my two years of preparatory classes for the grandes écoles (CPGE), I have acquired a solid foundation in these subjects and a rigorous working method. Originally from France, I am fluent in French and English, which allows me to teach in both languages, depending on the student's needs. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and I enjoy helping students understand, progress and gain confidence, whether to overcome difficulties or to improve. My goal is to support each student in a personalized way, at their own pace.
George
Tutoring for Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Geography, RS, Physics, and EnglishI am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13.
I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them.
I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship.
I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach.
I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

French PhD student proposes private lessons in Mathematics, Physics and Biology (in French or English)Graduated from EPFL and Harvard, I offer courses in scientific subjects (to you or your child). Give your child the means to succeed: new work methods, understanding of the course adapted to the student...
About me: I am a French student, doing a PhD in bioengineering at Imperial College. I went to high school in Paris, and I obtained my Baccalaureate with honors. I did my Bachelor's and Master's in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL and I spent 6 months at Harvard. I am used to teaching, having been a tutor during my master. I enjoy helping students to understand their mistakes and to reinforce their level in scientific subjects.
I would love to meet you! :)

London School of Economics Master's student in Mathematics with one year experience in preparing students for IB. Currently tutoring studentWe will work on your understanding of the most important concepts by doing practice exercises. We will start with the easiest ones and we will gradually increase the difficulty as you progress. Additionally, we will do lots of past papers, especially if you want to prepare for a specific examination. We are going to keep track of your level and mark your improvements session by session.
During our sessions, we can focus on different areas of Maths according to your needs, from Algebra and Calculus to Statistics and Probability.
Additionally, we can work on exam taking techniques such as Time Management and how to practice effectively for an exam.
I am excited to tutor other people that want to learn Maths, because I get to share my passion for the subject while making a positive impact. To me, it is a very rewarding experience, because of the feeling of accomplishment to help others succeed.

IGCSE and IB Physics, Maths and Chemistry tutoringTutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620).
I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share!
I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. Please message me before booking so we can find a time that works for both of us!
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :)

GCSE O-levels Mathematics and Additional Mathematics TutoringIn my classes the students will be a part of an interactive session of solving time-sensitive short questions as a brainstorming exercise, proceeding with covering topics from the start of the syllabus, solving questions as we move on and understanding the difficult level that the student is easily able to pass. This will be followed by recognising the topics that the student is finding difficult and then explaining them through short lectures and diagrams, helping the student have a better grasp at the concepts. I will ensure constant feedback after each of my classes to understand the students problems and tailoring my lessons according to that. Moreover the students' progress will be monitored and tracked through short weekly assessments based on past paper questions allowing the student to be comfortable with the exam-style questions and avoid falling for the exam pressure. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions and I hope to teach you soon!
