Almost all music today is made using computers—whether it's composed, recorded, or edited with music software. It has never been easier to create music yourself, requiring very little equipment or prior experience. I offer classes for all skill levels, from beginners who want to learn the basics and get to grips with music-making software, to experienced artists and producers looking to refine their skill set and make their music sound unique and professional. I have worked with artists across a wide range of genres, backgrounds, and ages. Through this experience, I’ve found that the common goal and joy in music is honest self-expression, something I pride myself on encouraging and facilitating, no matter your level of experience or confidence. The structure and timeline of the classes are flexible and can be tailored to your needs. For beginners, I typically recommend starting with an hour-long session once a week for ten weeks. The goal would be to finish at least two songs or pieces of music by the end of the course. Classes can be conducted in person or online. I am a classically trained musician. I was a chorister at Cambridge's King's College Choir as a child and received a music scholarship to one of the UK’s top secondary schools, where I studied trumpet, piano, viola, singing, and composition. It was there that I discovered my passion for music production on computers. I also achieved top grades in Music Technology and offer tutoring for Music Technology exams at both GCSE and A-Level. I then went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, specializing in Electronic and Produced Music, where I graduated with a first-class degree. My studies included modules in popular music production, songwriting, film music composition, acousmatic music, and orchestration, among others. Since then, I have been working with the charity Key Changes, where I visit psychiatric hospitals and forensic wards to collaborate with patients on music production and songwriting. A large part of this work involves creating instrumentals for rappers, which allowed me to learn how to produce drill and trap music. I’ve also run music production workshops for children aged 8-16 and provided individual tutoring to many young learners. I have an enhanced DBS check and extensive experience working with children aged 4 and up, including students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. My class is for anyone interested in music as a tool for life. The focus is to learn how to play an instrument and also cultivate mindfulness habits. I have taught with my own method for 20 years to hundreds of students from all walks of life. We start our session with a short mindfulness exercise and then you'll learn how to play your chosen instrument through your favourite songs. If you're interested we can also then start to learn how to write songs and even record them!

Eyal has taught hundreds of students over the past 15 years, both guitar and piano next to music theory and composition. Besides his formal music education (a bachelor's in composition, a teaching degree from the music academy in Jerusalem, and a master's in composition from Codarts, Rotterdam), Eyal has acquired experience in a wide range of various musical styles, including Rock, Blues, Jazz, classical music, electronic music, and contemporary music, on which he bases his rich approach which can be adjusted to every student separately. With over 10 years of experience as a songwriter, performer, and producer, I’ve had the privilege of writing in a wide variety of genres, pop, rock, folk. My songs have been featured on radio, and my approach to songwriting focuses on the intersection of creativity, emotion, and craft. I love helping aspiring songwriters find their unique voice, overcome creative challenges, and develop their skills. Whether you're new to songwriting or looking to take your craft to the next level, I aim to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can grow and experiment with new ideas. My teaching style emphasizes both the technical aspects of songwriting (like melody, structure, and lyrics) and the more intuitive, emotional side of creating music. (leisure, professional development) focusing on; basic knowledge of the guitar, basic chords and more advanced chords, scales and modes, theory and practice of improvisation, study of a repertoire, right hand technique (fingers or pick), music theory and rhythm, Logic Pro X, basic sound engineering and music production techniques and songwriting skills. An understanding of what are the goals and interests of student, as well as their skills is the most effective way to pass on knowledge.

I am a trained singer- songwriter & professional musician with a BA (hons) in Composition. Originally from london I moved to Brussels to do my masters degree. I am a trained singing with a level of grade 8, I have also spent the last 6 years touring as a front women and also a backing singing with various artists around europe, including 1 top 10 artist. I understand that although it's great to have a strong technique it's also about letting go and having confidence in your ability so you can relax in the moment. I also have many years' experience teaching English as a second language, including conversation skills for different contexts. I also teach writing skills, both professional and academic (including essay writing), and am happy to tailor classes to specific aims (for an event, a presentation, an interview, a specific professional field). I think that teaching works best when it works on your level: you can learn English through discussion of music, TV series, books, and more - I am happy to integrate grammar and learning points into this. In terms of Literature, we can approach a book, author, poem, play, theoretical work, movement or moment, together, and in different ways, drawing on the classes and materials I have developed over ten years in leading Parisian universities (I have also worked in the British and US university contexts). Singing and Songwriting can be a wonderful profession or mode of creative expression and some weekly scheduling in of practise and consistency will always improve and widen your knowledge and skills. I offer regular or one off classes with a focus on voice work, scales, Indian classical scales and songs. Each regular session we will work on the voice and finding your unique voice, developing singing technique, working on a song of choice. Where requested, we can work on songwriting technique and style as well as lyrical choices. You will learn how to create regularity to your singing and improve your vocal capacity, bringing depth to how you sing your chosen songs or allowing you to create your own compelling material that you can work on yourself or take to musicians.
