I provide piano, voice, composition and music theory lessons for all levels and ages. 11 years of piano teaching and music theory experience. 8 years of composition teaching experience and 5 years of experience in GCSE preparation. Able to teach various genres. I have a holistic approach on piano teaching and an adaptable teaching style based on the ability, needs and aims of my tutees. A typical recommended lesson would be 1h, were I work on technique, theory and performance practice. I am also a music arranger and transcriber. I can give lessons once or twice a week. Please note that twice a week does allow for fast progression. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session.
