In this course, I will teach you the first steps to start playing classical piano. We will begin to do some hand placement exercises, scales, arpeggios and different exercises and then begin to play simple works, which will become more complicated over time. The duration of the classes in principle is 1 hour. If you would like less or more time, we can manage it. In principle the classes are taught in my studio, but everything could be discussed. Depending on the area I could move.

Mi formación incluye el Grado Profesional de Piano, estudios en canto y composición moderna, y actualmente curso un Máster en Management y Producción Musical en la ESMUC (Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña). Cada clase está diseñada para crear un ambiente inspirador, donde puedas explorar tanto la técnica como la interpretación, y adentrarte en la armonía y teoría musical de una manera práctica y accesible. I have finished my Master degree in Piano at the Conservatori del Liceu (Barcelona) this year, and I have many years of experience teaching, children and younger students, as well as adult people. Currently I am working in a music school, but at the same time I give private lessons.

Musical language classes (Harmony, Literacy, Rhythm, Auditory Training) for school reinforcement or self-interest. Classes will focus on each student's preferred areas of musical language, and practical exercises will be continuously performed on the student's instrument. Music theory is very important for anyone looking to learn an instrument! It helps broaden an understanding of the instrument and will also help you progress faster! If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. I am also a professional freelance musician and conductor, for anyone interested in conducting, we can discuss how to approach a score in relation to this.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
