The class will be an hour long, divided into two halves: the first half is practical and is specialized in exercises to strengthen the student’s abilities to play the oud, while the second half will be specialized in learning the science of Arabic music theory from Arabic (maqams)/scales and Arabic rhythms.

A music tutor who have taught at the Higher Institute Of Music and several private institutes as well as teaching in many private schools for five years ( Damascus, Syria), through witch I have gathered experience to teach music in general for all ages (Children, Youth, Adults), I am fully capable of playing and teaching Oud and percussion (Riq), in addition to teaching Solfege, oriental and classical music theory and history of music.

I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run.
