I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

My name is Davy, I am 34 years old and have had the guitar in my fingers for 25 years. I graduated from the Music Academy Tongeren for both classical and electric guitar. In addition, I attended 2 years of Conservatory Jazz at LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens Institute. I started teaching in various situations since I was 16, both group lessons and individual lessons on instrument and music theory. Sharing my knowledge with others has always been a great passion. That is why I now offer private lessons tailored to my needs where I live in Leuven. This for both acoustic, classical and electric guitar in a range of styles. What you can expect is not a fixed course that we go over from A to Z, but a course that we build ourselves, as it were, focused on your musical taste, knowledge and goal on your instrument. Together with you, I will look at how I can teach you the necessary basics in a way that you can use it best for the genres you want to learn to play. My name is Caterina, I am a classical guitarist. I got my Master degree in Lemmensinstituut, Leuven with Raphaella Smits. I am an experienced teacher and I am offering private guitar lessons and group lessons at my place or on location for any level and age, from beginners to more advanced. I am experienced in teaching children and use my own method fitted to personal needs and interests. There is also the possibility to learn about solfege and harmony during class.

I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility. I have been playing electric guitar for 16 years and I was a member of several rock bands before. In my courses, I mostly focus on improvisation over bluesy, jazzy or simple rock chords.
