I am an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the renowned Rockacademie in Tilburg, Netherlands, and I have a music studio in the heart of Amsterdam. Working under the name Malvae, I write, sing, produce, mix, master, and perform my own music, enabling me to provide the entire process under one roof. My journey has led me to the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA on nr.17, features in films like the upcoming documentary 'King of the Streets', directed by an award-winning filmmaker, and even a Netflix series. With over 7 million streams to date, I am now excited to share my knowledge and experience with a few dedicated students. Earlier this year, I had the honour of headlining my own show at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, showcasing a self-built live set accompanied by immersive visuals. With both a masters and bachelors degree in music technology, years of professional musical experience spanning a wide array of genres and applications and eyebrows that'll knock your socks off, I can walk you through everything you need to become an electronic music producer. I can show you advanced tips and tricks to make the most out of your DAW of choice, I can help you with grasping the musical theory necessary to take the stress out of composition, I can teach you how to eradicate the dread of writer's block, discover your own musical voice, and help you become one of the great composers of our modern era. Garageband is a powerful Digital Audio Workstation that allows musicians and beginner producers to record a whole album if they wish. I'll teach you how to remake a song/piece of your choosing from the ground up. You'll use the inbuilt virtual instruments, your own voice, and your guitar/keyboard to rebuild your chosen track or give it your own unique stamp. Music production is a huge topic so I'll teach you the essential musical skills such as ear training, understanding rhythm and basic harmony. You'll learn basic recording skills using the iPad mic or an interface and we'll use virtual/real instruments to record the parts. You'll learn how to edit and I'll show you how to create an interesting song structure and how to layer multiple instruments so they don't clash! Finally, we'll look at mixing, effects, and EQ to give your track a professional polish!

We will tailor these sessions towards whatever areas of music production you desire. I can help up your skills in sound design, recording techniques, and composition.
