I've been teaching Italian for over 5 years, armed with a Double Degree in Languages, plus not one, but two Masters! 🎓 🇮🇹 And here's the ciliegina sulla torta: I just kicked off another Master's in Teaching Italian to Foreigners at Ca Foscari University. Now, I've got an awesome group of 10 recurrent students learning together with me (some solo and some in small groups or couple), each with specific goals, needs, and motivation. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

I like to teach Italian by offering my students topics of conversation and reading about their interests and Italian culture. I’m also a published author of short stories, so I have all the necessary experience to fine-tune your writing. Each lesson is personalized based on the student, their learning style, and their interests. If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
