Italian is a language rich with vocabulary, idiomatic expressions and semantic nuances. In fact, the most complete dictionaries can contain from 80,000 to 250,000 entries. Research carried out a few years before the death of the famous Italian linguist Tullio De Mauro (1932-2017) confirmed that, in everyday conversation, around half of the population only use 3000 words. You're going to learn the 100% italian standard pronunciation, with grammar, syntax, "way of saying and really cool idiomatic sentences. Human contact is an indispensable condition for learning a language. For this reason, I always try to prioritize the conversation during my classes, but not before having established the necessary grammar bases to be able to carry out good oral communication. I use memorization techniques adapted to the natural predisposition to learning (visual, auditory or kinesthetic) of each student and combined with the principle of repetition by spaces (SRS) that ensures, according to neuroscientific studies, effective long-term memorization. My first classes always start with an explanation of the teaching techniques I use and a test that allows me to understand the natural (and then optimal) way of memorizing the student.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
