This writing module is based on a pedagogy that has a sharp focus on writing as practice and craft, but in a practical and experiential work environment. Rigorous training in the processes of writing and editing will accompany one-on-one guidance from the Senior Editors and mentors including myself, and involve rewriting and studying real submissions across fiction, humour, commentary, poetry and more. Our curriculum has been developed to provide an exhaustive dive into the nitty-gritties of wielding the written word. The objective is simple: to play on your strengths as a writer or editor and help you find your distinctive voice. This is a competitive and exclusive programme, and we only select 5 applicants for each six-week session. I’m a Music Producer with experience in sound design and composition for moving image. I have been using Ableton as my main daw for 12 years for electronic music production, ranging from pop and experimental music to studio recording sessions. 
In the last few years, I’ve been focusing on assisting producers and songwriters with developing and improving their live electronic performance workflow. I can also provide consultancy on this topic, whether you’re interested in performing or rearranging your material. This course is recommended for anyone who wants to discover the basics of Ableton Live or learn new music production techniques to extend their practice. Logic Pro is one of the industry-standards when it comes to Audio Engineering, Mixing, and Mastering. In this class you will be able to explore logic, through the use go stock plug-ins, recording mixing and mastering techniques. This will further enable a better understanding of how to use this DAW to a degree that can be implemented in the industry.

I studied music production at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the mentorship of King James Britt, and at Abbey Road in London. I am well versed in most audio software (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X), using all of these in a professional setting for over 5 years. Currently, I work as an audio engineer, mixing and mastering songs for clients as well as recording in major studios across the city, as well as working remotely for the studio that I started in Oxford (Lenka's Studios). I would love to help you reach your specific goals in Audio production and pass on my knowledge. Students can bring their works in Progress for feedback and to be worked on, or they can ask in advance to learn more about a specific area of audio production (For example, recording techniques for drums or piano, mixing techniques for live recordings or for electronic music). In these private lessons I will cover a broad range of topics that you'd like to learn about using Ableton Live!
