This is a dynamic class which can encompass many areas of the fashion design process, this can included practical skills such as learning Adobe suite, pattern cutting, portfolio making and other skills to wider advice for university or career. I received my BA from Central Saint Martins and went on to work at Tom Ford, Phoebe Philo and Maison Givenchy as well as time working freelance over this period I was lucky enough to learn some valuable traits or skills which really help getting that first start at a fashion job or that could prove incredibly helpful during your fashion education. User Interface design is crucial for an engagement feel between providers/services and customers. It presents digitally content meant to appeal to the user eye and comfortability. Without UI designing, it will be difficult to reach a larger geographic area as some of your interested clients may want to interact outside your territories. And how is it done? You need to learn the basics of designing an interface that will attract potential clients into your business market

We can learn a lot about typography by looking closely at good typography. Through looking you can identify what makes good typography work, and what elements contribute to a solid typographic 'system'. In this session, I will show you where to find excellent documents from the typography industry and share what you can learn from analysing these examples. Through this process of looking, you will learn to evaluate your typography and improve your work. You will look into the purposes of typographic elements (display titles, headings, reading text, detail type etc), and begin to understand how to control these elements to make good typographic design choices. The session can be tailored to your specific needs — whether you are at an intermediate or further level. When the opportunity arises, I can demonstrate how to implement certain typographic approaches in InDesign or Affinity Publisher. The session is 90 minutes — we will need this time for the session to be meaningful to you, and it will include a small starter presentation by myself to set the context for the remainder of the session. I'm sure that within this session several other areas relating to typography will emerge — further engaging you with a rich and deep field within design.

This class is for aspiring graphic design and art students that would like to enter an art&design school in Switzerland. I will teach you the basics of the composition, colour, editorial, how to approach the design brief, and also how to use the main tools (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator).
