I am a a graduate of the School of American Ballet and I performed professionally with Pacific Northwest Ballet. I have been teaching ballet for ten years. As a teacher, I will meet you where you are, whether this is your first ballet class or you are auditioning for professional companies. Class is based on the individual wishes of clients, depending on what you want for your child: Class A (I prepare various topics/stories for a child to learn about), Class B (Oxford Phonics books - materials that help children to learn correct pronunciation of the letters/words) or A+B Class (recommended for the best results). Dance is the best workout for the mind and body. In my class we will start from where you are, whether it is your first class or you have been training for years, I am here to help you feel your best. PILATES - whether you are a beginner or have been in the Pilates game for awhile--I'm here to help. I like to give a 30-45min class that combines classic moves with a contemporary twist to give a full body workout. If you are a dancer I also offer a dance themed class which helps sarget specific muscles that dancers benefit from.

In these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students. Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English. My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual. For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Therefore during our work we will focus on the correct technique of movement and its style, so you will learn not only how to do elements correctly but also will understand how to make your dance look beautiful and catching for audience. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance and creation of multidisciplinary performances from the Iceland University of the Arts, a Master 2 in Art Research & International Creation from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, I am an artist member of the International Dance Council at UNESCO. Since 2020, I have been engaged in academic research on medical and spiritual dance whose practice is called Transcendental Dance (Transcendental Embodiment). I intend to present this research in a doctoral contract. My professional experience extends internationally where I had the opportunity to work alongside various renowned companies and to organize internships in France, Iceland, Sweden, Mexico, Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey and Asia.
