Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

About the methodology I use in my lessons, I have to say that it's different person to person. Some need TTT (Test - Teach - Test) some other might need CLT (Communicative - Language - Teaching ) or TBL (Task-based Language). It depends on your level, agenda and learning preferences. It's my job to figure it out and use the correct way in the class and I'm really good at it, I promise ;). When you want to learn something, It's all about mistakes. Don't be afraid of making them when you talk. Just imagine a toddler making effort for the first words and sentences and answer this question: How many mistakes they make in order to learn to speak a language?
