Adobe Illustrator is one of the most requested Adobe programs in the design world, along with Photoshop and InDesign. This class is for aspiring graphic designers and everyone who wants to learn the basics of digital expression.
In this class, you will first understand the basics of Illustrator - how to approach it, what are the main commands and learn to think like an Illustrator professional. Next, creating basic graphics to practice what you've learned, such as logos, small sketches, posters, while slowly introducing more complex approaches.
The final part of the class is creating your own final piece, ready to be shown to the rest of the world!

About Me
I'm a Croatian designer and artist, who moved to the Netherlands to pursue an MSc degree at TU Delft. The inspiration for this job came from my own experience of learning - I love problem-solving, reading and writing but in a fun way. Not just sitting in a class being bored. That is why I decided to help others who experience the same!I'm a curious, talkative person who loves challenges. My goal is to support you in getting confident in the classes I offer, and not to scare you with a workload or unnecessary study materials. I'm flexible and create a class based on what you need - which makes us both get the best out of the experience!

Always wanted to get better at English, but never knew where to begin? There are a few things you still need some practice with, such as school work, test preparation? Or are you just so in love with the language and want to study it even more? Then this class is perfect for you!
Depending on your level, the course will include conversation, reading/writing, audio and video examples. My idea is to use creative techniques in learning and building confidence in speaking the language so that lessons would not be an overwhelming experience, but a fun one. After each lesson, there will be a short homework to revise what was learned. My goal is to support you in feeling confident in a foreign language and well equipped to find answers on your own later.

Who am I?
A young Croatian designer living and working in the Netherlands. I obtained the IELTS C2 certificate in the English language and have completely switched my life to English two years ago when I moved to the Netherlands. I also have two full years of practising English at an MSc academic level and can help you with that as well!
Want to express yourself using different media and learn at the same time? I can help you by making mood-boards or collages! My focus is on creatively interpreting knowledge and to show you how to use mind-maps and other techniques in learning. Also, if you are interested in just exploring your own creativity and need a way to take a moment for yourself, this is a great way to start!

Typography — Learning from looking closely, learning techniquesWe can learn a lot about typography by looking closely at good typography. Through looking you can identify what makes good typography work, and what elements contribute to a solid typographic 'system'.
In this session, I will show you where to find excellent documents from the typography industry and share what you can learn from analysing these examples. Through this process of looking, you will learn to evaluate your typography and improve your work. You will look into the purposes of typographic elements (display titles, headings, reading text, detail type etc), and begin to understand how to control these elements to make good typographic design choices.
The session can be tailored to your specific needs — whether you are at an intermediate or further level. When the opportunity arises, I can demonstrate how to implement certain typographic approaches in InDesign or Affinity Publisher.
