My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

Over my 10 years of teaching experience both privately and through NYC music schools, I have developed a variety of effective and individualized teaching tools that I continually refine. My students range in age from 5-70 years and sing music in a variety of styles including classical, musical theater, pop, and more. If applicable, lessons may also include techniques for audition, competition, and performance preparation as well as beginner piano, reading music, theory and ear training. I speak with with my students before our first lesson to understand their background, goals, and answer any questions before we begin. About me: Singing and teaching are two of my greatest passions. Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in operas, recitals, musicals, choirs, and competitions internationally including the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. I have a Master of Music in classical vocal performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan. I have studied dance, piano, and Alexander Technique in addition to vocal pedagogy. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis.
