Voice lessons for ages 13 and older. I teach private voice lessons for singers at all levels. I am a classically trained soprano and teach both classical voice as well as musical theatre repertoire. I am currently on the Voice Faculty of Westminster Choir College, SongFest (one of America's preeminent Art Song Festivals), and run my own course of study here in Salzburg that includes language study, private voice study with myself and soprano, Barbara Bonney, as well as various Master Classes with multiple singers. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. However, if you lack a passion for music or the instrument itself, I advise against pursuing it. As a friendly and passionate teacher, I derive joy from witnessing my students' progress and enjoy playing duets with them.
